Last week, I had an unexpected day off. It was much needed and a wise woman (my supervisor!) told me to take a day and rest. So I did!
Work and life have been so busy that I haven't been taking care of myself very well lately and it was time to stop and evaluate. So, I drove out to the lake with my radio blaring fun, summer music and the windows down. I sat in the sun and read and just enjoyed the beauty.
It is important to do things for yourself occasionally. I forget that sometimes. I easily get into "do" mode and forget all about "being". So, I'm trying to "be" a little better this week. I got a haircut and planted some lavender and echinachea in my front yard. I hope they survive! Also, check out the new cute toenails under "toe art"

Jannalee's graduation party was last weekend! The first of a slew that I will be attending this month! She is absolutely great! I adore her heart for others and for God. She is full of fun and laughter, but has the ability and desire to go deeper as well. She has an obsession with Harry Potter which is greater than anyone I know- and that is saying a lot!
Anyway, congrats, Jannalee! Yay!
